Institute of informatics systems regularly carry out International Andrei Ershov Memorial Conferences "PERSPECTIVES OF SYSTEM INFORMATICS". PSI is a forum for academic and industrial researchers, developers and users working on topics relating to computer, software and information sciences. The last conference has been passing in 2019. Many scientists from the far abroad have taken part in the conference. Proceedings are published in publishing house Springer Verlag in series Lectures Notes in Computer Science. Also on the basis of institute, a series of other international conferences was carrying out during last five years. Conferences-competitions of young scientists are passed in 2003-2006 at support of Microsoft Research. Institute of Informatics Systems SB RAS together with Institute of Computational Mathematics and Mathematical Geophysics SB RAS, Institute of Automatics and Electrometric SB RAS, etc. were the organizers of XV international conference GraphiCon' 2005 devoted to computer graphics and applications.
The institute has wide international contacts with scientific organizations and companies working in the field of information technologies: Microsoft Research, IBM, Samsung etc. Employees of institute regularly visit other countries for participation in international conferences and for joint scientific work. Foreign scientists and students regularly visit the institute. Post-graduate students from Kirghizia study in the institute; students from France pass their diploma practice.
A.P. Ershov Institute of informatics systems SB RAS and Institute of mathematics, computer science and mechanics of Committee of Science of the Ministry of Education and Science, Republic Kazakhstan have signed the special agreement on scientific and technological collaboration. The purpose of the signed agreement is "a mutually beneficial pooling of their scientific and technological, organizing and financial potentials for the encouragement and optimization of the activity within the frameworks of the international scientific and business collaboration". Also within the frameworks of the agreement, it is supposed the association of efforts in preparation of the high skilled staff.
Seven persons from employees of the institute are members of various international scientific organizations.
