Bertran Meyer

The Ershov IIS team would like to cordially congratulate Bertran Meyer, an outstanding scientist in the area of methodology and technology of programming, a guru of OO-programming and the author of the most fundamental work on OO- programming, the creator of the Eiffel programming language, ETH Zurich professor and the president of Eiffel Software (Santa Barbara, CA, USA), with his Sixtieth Anniversary.

Bertran Meyer and our institute have a long history of friendship and cooperation. Bertran met Andrei Ershov in 1975 and two years later came to Akademgorodok as a postgraduate student.

In 2003 Bertran Meyer was an invited speaker at the Fifth International Conference on the Perspectives of System Informatics, and has been a permanent member of the Steering Committee of the conference since 2009.

From all our heart, we wish Bertran good health, further outstanding achievements in his professional activities and happiness!
